Job Descriptions All PAATA Board Members will:
Publish quarterly in PAATA newsletter on topic of choice or delegate this task.
Provide input for programming and timely response to PAATA communications.
Attend monthly PAATA Board meetings.
Participate in programming and events as able including the annual conference and business meeting.
Government Affairs Chair:
Maintain liaison between the PAATA, the AATA Governmental Affairs Committee, other chapters within the AATA, schools within the PAATA chapter offering art therapy programs and other alliances that contribute to legislation/licensure.
Work with Public Relationships Chair(s) on issues regarding public policy/advocacy; assist with press releases as needed.
Join and participate in AATA Glasscubes group.
Monitor funds contributed to legislative efforts.
Attend annual business Meeting of Chapters at the AATA National Conference (using Delegate stipend). If the Delegate cannot attend, the Alternate Delegate will attend. If the Alternate Delegate is also unable to attend, an individual from the general membership will be sought.
Submit an article to the AATA quarterly newsletter when requested. Include upcoming and current events, award notification and other pertinent news of the chapter.
Install and maintain a repository of PAATA archival holding, both paper and electronic.
Publish a bibliography of theses authored by art therapy graduate students in the 4th edition (Fall) of the PAATA newsletter; soliciting local schools for input.
Publish a bibliography of publications authored by PAATA members in the 1st edition (Winter) of the PAATA newsletter; soliciting membership for their publications in 4th PAATA newsletter.
Maintain a manual of PAATA policies including current copy of Bylaws and any other related materials.
