Innovative Applications of Art Therapy Award
Do you know an art therapist who is doing amazing things in our field? The Innovative Applications of Art Therapy Award is granted to a PAATA member who demonstrates an outstanding and innovative approach to art therapy through technique, practice, or otherwise. The recipient’s unique and cutting-edge work exemplifies new frontiers for the practice or application of art therapy. Nominations are due August 30, 2025.

- Nominee must be a PAATA member!
- Nominations must include a 100-300 word write up highlighting reasons for their nomination. Describe what sets their work apart and how it demonstrates originality. This could include but is not limited to new or adapted art therapy methods/frameworks, tools, materials, or interventions; the integration of art therapy into nontraditional settings; contributions to the field through publications, research, or presentations; creative collaborations or interdisciplinary partnerships.
- Once nominated, nominees will be required to submit their CV and/or resume.

Outstanding Supervisor Award
Do you have an outstanding supervisor whom you would like to honor for their support and contribution to the field? The Outstanding Supervisor Award is presented to a PAATA member who demonstrates outstanding mentorship, encouragement, and leadership as a supervisor to art therapists. Nominations are due August 30, 2025.

- Nominations must include a 100-300 word write up highlighting reasons for their nomination. Consider including specific examples of support, guidance, and professional development offered by the nominated supervisor. Explain how this supervisor demonstrated leadership and advocacy within supervision or training contexts.
- Once nominated, nominees will be required to submit their CV and/or resume.

Most Active Artist Award
Do you know an art therapist who is deeply committed to their personal art? This award is bestowed to a PAATA member who maintains a significant connection to their personal art making process by publicly exhibiting in shows and competitions. Nominations are due August 30, 2025.

- Nominee must be a PAATA member!
- Nominations must include a 100-300 word write up highlighting reasons for their nomination. Provide evidence of the nominee's consistent and active personal art-making practice. Include records of participation in art shows, exhibitions, or juried competitions. Provide an artist statement or portfolio link (if available).
- Once nominated, nominees will be required to submit their CV and/or resume, as well as 3-5 examples of their work.
- Nominations must be submitted via email to [email protected] by August 30, 2025 with the subject line, "Most Active Artist Award".
Graduate Student Research Award
Are you a program director or advisor working with an exceptional student researcher? The Graduate Student Research Award recognizes a graduating art therapy student for outstanding research or capstone work completed during the previous academic year. Ron Hays Award
Are you a PAATA member presenting at this year's AATA conference? The Ron Hays Award supports members whose presentations promote the use of art therapy or the arts therapeutically.
